There are two main types of nuclear power plants: pressurized water reactor and boiling water reactor. When it comes to the main large forgings of nuclear power plants, they can be classified into two categories: pressure shell and reactor internals. Pressure shell components consist of the cylinder flange, nozzle section, nozzle, upper and lower cylinders, bolts, and more. On the other hand, reactor internals operate under extreme conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, strong neutron radiation, boric acid water corrosion, scouring, and hydraulic vibration. To produce them, 18-8 austenitic stainless steel is used.
